Theme for APD Nara 2021 ―Think Design Future―

Through active discussions about “the future of design”, we hope to conjure up a common vision with everyone in the ancient capital of Nara at APD 2021.
We are living in an era of constant change. With the advancement of digital technology, innovation is being created in different shapes and sizes. As a result, the ways we live, think and do business are undergoing massive transformations, including the paradigm shift of focus from “things” to “services” and “possession” to “experience”. How will package design evolve itself to adapt to this evolution?
At the APD Conference, I am looking forward to learning about the latest trends and transformations of package design in the respective countries and regions, and the discussions about the future of package design.
We hope that all participants will be inspired by the exchange of ideas and work together to raise the value of package design. The event will then culminate in the “Joint Announcement of APD NARA 2021” as we move forth with a common vision.
